  • I'm scared about hypnosis. Has hypnobirthing got anything to do with it?
    Yes, hypnosis is at the core of hypnobirthing, but it is not the kind of hypnosis where the subject is unconscious and unaware of what is going on. The hypnosis in Hypnobirthing regards only the power of the words, when used wisely and while the subject is relaxed but conscious, they can have a huge positive effect.
  • Can hypnobirthing guarantee me a pain free labour and birth?
    No, because giving birth is a personal experience. Practising Hypnobirthing means that you will have your best labour and birth possible. Some women felt their labour not painful at all while others describe it as intense. Being calm and relaxed, being not only physically but also emotionally and psychologically ready for your baby's birth will significantly help you in achieving the best empowering experience. Hypnobirthing will help you in doing so.
  • I don't want a home birth, can Hypnobirthing still help me?"
    Yes, definitely! If you want (or have to) give birth at a birth centre or hospital you can still have a beautiful and empowering experience. During the course you will learn, and then practise, anything you need to know and do for your special day.
  • I have a C-section planned, does make any sense to do Hypnobirthing?"
    Yes! Hypnobirthing will help you to be confident and calm in spite of the circumstances. This will allow you to live your baby's birth not as something that is happening to you and your body, but as something that you are doing with your baby. Moreover, being ready for your little one's birth it also means favourite from the very beginning the bonding with your newborn and therefore a very good start.
  • I might want to use pain relievers, are they allowed with Hypnobirthing?"
    Yes, of course! Hypnobirthing will help you in achieving your best labour and birth, whatever that means for you. Usually, women who have practised Hypnobirthing during their pregnancy won't need any pain relief because pain is linked to tension and fear and Hypnobirthing will help you in overcome them. However, because Hypnobirthing is so much more than a method to feel less or no pain, if you will choose to have a pain relief you will still benefit from all the "techniques", information and concepts learnt during the course.
  • Is Hypnobirthing safe for me and my baby?
    Yes, of course. The most safe way to give birth is the natural way. When your body and your baby are respected, everything goes well. With Hypnobirthing you will learn how to do it, how to carefully listen to your body, your needs and your maternal instinct and how to deeply connect with your baby.
